How to Have Amazing Legs
Here's the secret to having amazing legs... EXIST.
Ok, I know, that's lame. But seriously, if you exist and are a human being, your legs are already stinkin' amazing!
Did you know that on average children take approximately 10,000-16,000 steps per day?
Adult males surpass women and take about 5,340 steps per day compared to 4,912 for females.
If you're a waiter, stay-at-home mom, nurse, or teacher you take approximately 15,000 steps per day!

That's a lot of work that our legs do every single day!
Think about what all your legs have done for you in just the past week?
Mine have walked through the grocery store, played airplane with my children, biked through the neighborhood, raked leaves in the backyard, and climbed up my house stairs (TOO MANY TIMES) to bring my kids their stuffies/water cups/laundry/etc.
Without our legs we couldn't jump, kick, dance, walk, skip, or walk.
I'm definitely not always grateful for them. In fact, I've critiqued their shape and length more times than I can count! However, when I appreciate all they do and all I want them to continue to do for me, I really want to take care of them.
Walking, running, cardio, resistance training, and yoga are just a few ways to take care of them.
Walking is one of my favorite ways to work my legs. It's easy on the joints, keeps joints mobile, lowers stress, preserves muscle, can improve mood, is sustainable, applicable for all ages, and is easy to do with someone.
I also love doing resistance training.
These are my favorite bands I use at home:

I also like incorporating High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) into my leg work to build up endurance and increase power.
BASICALLY: your legs are an amazing gift. Enjoy them!
